This is not the best way to join a squad (the forums). If you want to join a low level squad esc a and look for a tryout arena. If you want to join a 'higher up' squad. Play in ?go base, javs, elim, and baseelim. Trust me you will be noticed if you do good... and even if you don't do good.

This is probably not the best place to find a squad. Also, your preference between warbirds, javelins, and basing should determine the squad you join, as well as the personalities of its members. I take it you're from pub, in which case I suggest you try out:

?go base

?go wbduel

?go javduel

And see which suits you best.

actually ?go wbduel and ?go javduel probably isnt the best place.

it is the wb and jav versions of ?go base, but that's just the problem. for brand new players, you will just get upset with not getting picked.

try ?go elim and ?go baseelim for wbs and javs respectively instead to see if those ships are for you

If you're good you shouldn't have trouble getting on a mediocre squad since they all recruit almost solely on skill level. To get on a good squad you'll have to make a name for yourself, usually through strong league play on one of those mediocre squads, or strong play in ?go base or elim or baseelim.
