mess around with photoshop enough, and you start to figure out how shit works, it just sort of comes to you how to make something. It took me like a week to realize the awesomeness of layers

but you can learn techniques from tutorials and then apply them to this..some call it cheating, i call it accelerated learning

Correct me if i'm wrong Kim, but I'm 99% sure he used some type of 3d program ;-). 3ds max, lightwave, maya..one or the other :P
