(Don't know why i'm starting this)
For as long as i've been playing, i've always visited various rooms, tried different events, and played in different sets of rules. But when i want fun I'll either get some friends and go dd or i'll go pub!
First of all i've read some posts where people say roofing is "lame". I guess it can be to some people, but i try to make it otherwise. Usually javs float up there to shoot into the holes, normally i float around up there to kill them so the frequencies inside can base fairly. Sometimes i just float and don't kill anything, but those are nights when i've played for like 12 hours straight. And yes i do shoot into the holes to kill people because after siting up there for SOOO long these amusing javs keep shooting bombs at me trying to score an easy kill. Same goes for x's who just come out to kill me when i'm sitting still. But other wise its a nice place to sit, observe the basing and chat.
I base as well, and i think it was malla who lately wanked on me for being "lame". I was on a private freq, which i usually am on (mostly because I can kill anyone i want if i need to and its just more fun having everything to dodge and kill) and i was inside mid base of pub killing stuffs. So he goes to x and kills me. (not complaining) And no i'm not like people who sit and the bottom left and right holes and stray everyone, i actually run around shoot, and try to take flag when its open. If i had more people on my freqency then it wouldnt be "lame" would it? Just because i'm alone makes it "lame"?
I've been to elim and played with some great people in there. I go there once in a while but i dont see how it can be as fun as pub unless its all you do. Elim you have to wait, unless you live long and you have to just strictly kill. Nothing else. Not much scenery either, just rocks and 4 walls. Plus it gets tired hearing "NEWB!" "FU!" "YOU ATE!" "OMFG" "SPAWNER" "LAMER" "STFU" every 2 seconds. Other than that, its a good place to get a good taste of self defense and its where all the more serious players go. I think. However there are fairly new people in elim just like in the pubs, so a person who plays pub all day for years could turn out to be as good as a person playing elim for years. Possibly.
DD's are fun. Plain fun. Who can't like dueling with 4 or 5 of your buddies. Same goes for go base, twbd and twjd. Anything i missed, feel free to correct me.
