Trivia?

There always seems to be people on the trivia chat who are always waiting for trivia to begin but even if we were to PM staff to start trivia, it wouldn't happen.

Just wondering about the following things...
Who is actually allowed to start trivia games?
Could it be possible to have people just pm the TriviaBot to just start?
Or even maybe have people who are on Trivia Chat or those who play it a lot be granted permission to run the TriviaBot? I certainly know The_Raven87 always wants to play trivia but whenever he's online, there never seems to be a game for him.

Only mods could start it. The thing is that you don't want it ran many times in a day because then people get used to the questions and such.

Thing is....people already have questions and answers memorized.....So....wouldnt really hurt to host it more often...ppl get a 12 letter long word in .489 seconds....-_-;

The game sorely needs someone to add some new questions to it. I'd do it if there was an easy way, or I'm sure someone could look up a trivia site/archive, pick a spot and just add from there.

I don't think MODs can start it. I think it is SMOD+ (And a few selected MODs who specifically asked for permission). That's how it used to be. I am always on Trivia chat and I play whenever it is on the same time as me. I don't think it would be a good idea if the games could be started by anyone as poeple would be bored and I would remember even more of the answers .

I do find trivia fun but I do see where people are coming from when they say tis is just a typing contest now..

PS - Maybe, like with the Matchbots in ?go base selected people who play often could be allowed to start the bot (As long as they don't do it more than once a day or something)

I agree with whoever said that we need more and new questions added to triviabot (I think stabwound?), I will talk to some of the bot developers and see about adding questions to the bot.
