it's to stop people guessing passwords. That's why there was a ?lostpassword thing a couple years ago so if you ever lost your passwords.

I always write my passwords down anyway.

Hours is a bit much, but it is meant to keep people from brute forcing (guessing) passwords.

Go outside...read a book...this happened to me...took FIVE HOURS to let me back in...stupid pw...All my pw's are the same..changed that one...asa it said few hours...its like OMG I REMEMBER NOW -.-

I lost the password to my pandagirl89 account and I've tried every password I've ever used and can't figure it out. So I'm screwed basically, but I don't care cuz I like my Pandagirl! name better.

It isn't that hard to remember a password...unless you have differnt passwords for every name/squad..(like me)... but just write it down on a peace of paper and make sure you dont lose that as well

That may not be wise, just because you trust tw doens't mean you should use the same password for... my brand new SSZXOI password stealing Zone. Anyways, I have:

Three for anything I don't trust/care about.
Two for trusted things.
Three long/good ones for ftp servers.
About 15 different passwords for user accounts/shared admin systems
About five more for email and stuff...

Sigh, I can remember them all, mabye I need to get out more?

I don't know about you guys, but when I put in my name and password, It doesn't go away. IE: I don't have to type it in multiple times.

If you got a problem with siblings or etc* signing onto your name, put your profiles file on a floppy.
