what?? why? thumb on control, index on shift and middle on tab works perfectly..

I changed it when I first started SS (In EG) so I could thrust and shoot at the same time. I have since got used to it.

i tried the ` attach thing yesterday for the first time, and within about 20 attaches it was driving me insane. thousands upon thousands of times using f7 has become a very strong habbit, and its not even an inconvenience.

Agreed that making a huge change to your keysetup after using a different one for so long is usually more trouble than it's worth.

I've been playing around wtih custom controls for PB (due to the large number of goodies available there), but still use the defaults for TW. Going to give that attaching thing a try though, F7 moves your hand way out of position.

I like it how this same thread subject keeps popping up every now & then.

Anyway, I just use ` for attaching - the very top-left key (not including the Esc/Function key row).

If I remember correctly, I stole the idea off either Mattey or Mobey I forget which.

I just left my key settings the same and then I broke my F7 key so it's easier to find.

When I get serious and I shark, I'll put on my shark keys.... but usually, if I'm too lazy and I'm in ?go base, pub, or in most TWBDs, I'll keep the default on.
