Tired of not being able to harness the power of all the ships? Where is the warzone tournaments? Bored of formal basing? Want to improve your skills?
Well, this will be the solution to all these questions. Recently a Mr. Arrogance has aroused my thought upon the basing scene. As a prior base conosieur and champ; I believe we should up the level of play and skills of the players, squads, and their teamwork.
The Trench Warzone League would be a traditional warzone league involving 10 flags and two teams. To win, one team must hold all ten flags and appropriately defend them for 3 minutes. What is good about this league is all players on both teams have unlimited ship changes and all ships would be permitted. The new lancaster settings in ?go base and the new weasel in pub would be implimented. Levithian would also be permitted. We shouldn't be exiling certain ships from a fear of their power. Instead we should be harnessing them and understanding all aspects of play.
Basically we could use the TWD site rosters for this league as well. Every week squads would agree to particular times on a website (just as implimented on the TWL site) and show up at the chosen times to play their opponents. Minimum number of players on each team would be 8 and maximum would be 15. Both teams must play the same number of players unless one team has less than 8; In this case, where the team with 8 would play the opposing team with less than 8 players.
Every week the map would be changed with a new warzone map. There would be 8 warzone maps (I am sure there are in Trench Wars alone scattered in random arenas) shown to the squads and players before each TWL. TWZL ops would choose the map to be played on by all squads that week. With alternatiing maps it leads to a variable of excitement and unpredictability.
Trench Wars has a player base of over 5000 players and about 500-800 players on every minute it is working. This league would solve the appetite of the zone by applying systems of other zones (Warzone and A Small Warzone & other Warzone-like zones) to our favorite settings. This form of basing would improve the overall skills of players (in all ships) and would add a new standard to our basing leagues. Not only will Trench Wars supplement from this league, but the formal basing would improve as well as players become more aquainted with teamplay and shiplay. Soon, over time, if this league is accepted by the community we can integrate it into our TWL as we have done to the TWL-J and TWL-B.
Keep your minds open and your skills sharp because it's coming baby. Oh yeah. Hey, why not try a tournament where All squads vs All squads to see who would win? Set up a date Trench Wars staff and get on this.
