well, this is why I made a thread instead of doing it myself. Im no uber l33t jav master, and getting a good list of jav techniques from someone who knows what they are talking about sounds better then just wingin it myself. Keep it coming. When I say techniques, I mean techniques for both Basing Jav AND TWJD Jav. Storybooks of info are welcome

The best way is to learn yourself, nothing good will come of having someone else tell you how to do it.

thats where I disagree. Having someone show you the ropes, in my opinion, is definately the best way to go. Of course after you get the gist of it you will develop your own techniques, but it's best to start of with something instead of nothing at all.

yeah phren, nice guide...

it seems like more of a 1v1 guide and what to do when the other guy is low on energy... but in a squad duel, when someone is low on energy, you bullet the hell out of him/her with the help of your squadmates mostly nice to be able to get those angles down n stuff though.

I'm not going to go into a whole strategy about how to be good at javs, because i'm not good enough myself. But a good tip which almost always gets kills is when someone is following you, do an unexpected shot and bounce it so it will be coming towards him and forward velocity will prevent him from being able to dodge it. Kind of hard to explain, just watch someone like Dan when he plays, hes one of the best at doing it.

I addmit .. Jav is the only ship i cant get hang of.
Maby caus im so dumb i it takes too much time for my brain to process all the data of bombs having to bounce .
I once been told that if i put my iq on a tea-spoon there would be room for sugar .
Anyway .. I really dont like javs but since this thread is obviously people who love it, i will stfu here .

i find using jav very similar to playing put put golf or yahoo pool...some of those project lines to show you the angle of a bounce and that could help you get a feel for aim on shots etc.

ummm... no

in javs you have to use bullets wisely with bombs

and momentum plays a role in shots... it affects angles.

its not like golf or billiards unless both ships are not moving and neither is aware they have bullets at their disposal.
