As far as I know, there's never been an asian hate group that rallied around the phrase "asians rule." If there was, it was the weakest hate group ever.

However, the phrase "white power" is actively used by the KKK and other hate groups.

Your analogy sucked. That's all I'm saying. One is simply an assertion of lighthearted pride (azns rule) and one is a specific assertion of hatred-based dominance (white power). It's dumb to not see that. I'm sure no one would have a problem with you saying "caucasians rule" (except me, because that sounds stupid, just like "azns rule" sounds stupid).

Actually it is. If you take the phrases at face value, they each promote one race over others. "White power" just has a more negative history than "Azns rule". If you're not going to crack down on both, you're not doing any good.

I once talked to a staffer about the nick "Nuke the Yanks" (trying to get the nick banned) and the staffer told me that the player could be referring to the NY Yankees. So I don't see why "Cracker" could be referring to saltine crackers. ...If it's gonna be seen as racist, then I want "Nuke the Yanks" banned as well please!

the mere existance of the rule promotes more racism in tw than there ever would be without it.

if there was no such rule, and you saw someone being racist, add his name to ignore.txt ... i know many people say "use ignore.txt" in response to a lot of stuff, especially staff, and few people actually take the advice, but lately i have added every dumbass who comes along, and although the list is getting long, i'm enjoying the game more.

Lol awesome thats nonsense, no rules so that certain behaviour will less take place ? I guess you should read the book about Malcolm X when racism was find normal by the majority of the people and there were no laws involved with it. Ofcourse this is a 2d spaceship game, but I refuse to believe that we should tolerate racism in here, while its a crime in real life. Making racism allowed in this game would definately make me leave.

Play PB Zone for 10 minutes. You'll see more racist slurs in that time then you'd see in a month of trenching.
