Online Racism

Name calling racist terms is immature and not cool. Ok, but does it mean that you mods have to create a pile of unnecessary work to deal with it?

Now if a racist is online and trying to recruit people for their racist organization, then thats when you should step in.

Even though some people don't say ch*nk, n**ger, h*nkey...etc.. etc.. people can just say newb, lamer.. more ambigious terms and in there own mind quietly think otherwise.

Personally, when I duel or play the game, I typically just turn pub chat off altogether. Most people that play this game are very young and immature; and if you kill them they diss you.

Everyone should have a the right to say what they want, free speech, eh? But, then we all have the right not to associate with such individuals.

I don't like people who think stereotypically, or use vulgar language against others to fill a void in their life or make them feel superior.

Its important, Racism exists in every race/culture... There is good and bad in all races.

Forcing someone to be non-racist just makes the situation worse.

You forget that "white pride" or "white power" has also been used in a context of intimidation and fear. Use of those terms bring back those images of intimidation and fear. I can't think of a reason why people would shout something like this (or for any other race, for that matter). Sure, you might go and say something like this as a response of someone else saying something like "azns rule", but that's part of the problem as well. "White pride" sayings have a history and a power behind them. You can't just ignore all that and break things down to just the words. That's a main point in these discussions: a lot of people break these race issues to being just about words and they lose the meanings behind them. Anyone who goes around saying "they're just words" is missing the point completely. Words without meanings is just noise.

Don't get me wrong, I think people going around saying "azns rule" are ignorant of the implications of their words. Most of the time, they aren't even aware of the politics or history of "azns".

I disagree with the use of either of those terms, or other such sayings for other races. On the other hand, I cannot also equate them and say that "white power" has the same power and affect as "azns rule". They're both wrong, but one brings up more bitter and hate-filled images. Do you think it's unfair? Hell yes. But it's also reality.

That's not what I said. I said "THEY'RE BOTH WRONG". I didn't say anything about whether either case warrants a higher or lower punishment than the other, so stop trying to take my words and twist them to prove your point.

That's the problem these days, people take a look at anti-racism and they automatically assume that it means anti-white, and therefore instinctively bad. That's just because they aren't seeing anti-racism done correctly. Take that misconception out of your thought process and read what I said again. I've said time after time in numerous threads that if someone is racist against whites then it should be treated as if the target was black or Asian or any other race. A fight against racism is a fight against it in any form against any target. Don't just shunt it off and dismiss it as being an anti-white movement.


Once again, if you truly think that saying "white pride" is the same as saying "azns rule" then you are horribly mistaken. Both are statements of ignorance, but one just has more complex history. You cannot ignore that, and it's silly to make the comparison on that level. I am not saying that either one or the other is alright, but that they are just wrong at varying degrees. It's like the difference between stabbing someone in the gut with a knife and stabbing him in the gut with a larger knife. Yes, one is larger than the other, but you're still stabbing someone.

gee.. i don't know.. you go to chinatown.. you see chinese ppl, you call them chinese? it's not hard.

I know stuff about asia because i was borned in asia? i studied geography and history about asia? and i am still studying geography about asia in university.. East asia consist of china, north/south korea, japan.. and they are all from one race.. they might have different culture, but they are one race. Just like ppl live in England and ppl live in Canada.. they are totally different country and different cultures, but they are one race. However, people live at.. let's say India is from a different race than those from Japan.

About the "Azn Pride" thing, i wouldn't mind someone has that logo on their site or wearing a t-shirt with that on it. But over saying it and using it is annoying.

Play PB Zone for 10 minutes. You'll see more racist slurs in that time then you'd see in a month of trenching.

Thats bc the ppl in TW make up words that mean racist thigns but arent detected by the pubbot or staff. SO naturaly u wont see as much in public as in PB. U also have alot on private chats, team chats in arenas w/o the pubbot. TW has more ppl, ur bound to have more racism. And dont tell me TW ppl are more mature bc they arent.

Awesome is rite, if we wouldnt be as strict onthis rule we'd have less of a problem. About the "context" thing. Thats rite, its all about the context. SO how comes staff uses "pubbot#" as a way to catch racism? That bot doesnt show u the context of it, or the conversation ppl were having in that arena. Grant if someone just says "ur a n1g" and it reports that, then fine, but i know of a few things that the bot took out of context and ppl got warned for it, just bc staff auto*warns when the bot reports.
