Outside of the arena in ?go wormhole

It's to my understanding that you can't be banned for something on a minor scale such as this without an official warning. Im not 100% on that, but pretty sure. I don't see why such a big deal is being made of this - heck Buja man, if the people weren't playing the game right - End it. No need to go banning people over it, or wasting your time hosting an event if people won't play it correctly.

That's not it. There is no right way to play the game! A continuum arena is like a basketball court. Yes, there is a suggested way to play, with certain rules and restrictions, but if people on an a court by themselves they are not forced to play by the rules. They could play on a half a court, they could play outside the court, heck, they could even play a derivative game like 21 or knockout. There's no need for a referee to be on a private court enforcing the rules in a game of fun between friends. This wormhole game was not hosted and everyone was enjoying it so there's no reason for mods to come and start making people play by their rules.

I can't say how much I agree with you. If you're outside of wormhole in a hosted event, they would either spec you or warp you back, i was outside on a non hosted event, which a ban with it is outraging.

Well I'm torn here. I know Buja, to my knowledge he's a good staffer and a funny guy. Send is also a pal and a squaddie at the moment. It would be nice if somone from higher up in staff could clarify one thing for me.

Are the rules in the TW Pubs, applicable in ?go wormhole when it isn't being hosted? I imagine the rule in pubs was made so that people would snipe from outside the rocks - or go hide somewhere for flag points. Although neither of this apply in a none-hosted ?go wormhole.

Being outside of the map effects gameplay, if wormhole was hosted (which it doesnt get hosted), and if it had an actual game to it (it doesn't), then BujaX has justifactaion to spec ya.

But yeah, staff needs to be more leniant.

It doesn't really matter shit if you think it's fun to fly outside boundaries. It's a rule, set by a purpose. Maps aren't open to fly out of unless there is a bug in it. Exploiting bugs is lame.

But I do see no harm in going to prodem when noone is there just to fly outside the map.

I think a big thing that no one really mentioned is that it's possible to get outside the rocks in Wormhole without even trying to. I don't know how you do it but I've gotten warped outside a few times without doing anything.

Erm.. this is just speculation, and a bit of advice.. but...
If a staffer tells you to do something, and instead of doing it, you give them a bunch of shit.. how are you in any way surprised over catching a ban?

Maybe you can be leniant because it CAUSES NO HARM? TKing in pub is different. It bothers other players. But flying outside in wormhole doesn't affect the other players. They can play inside with the others inside or outside with the people outside.

No one has been able to give me a straight answer on what's wrong with playing outside. Sure, it's a bug, but it's a fun bug, and it does no harm. Who cares if Buja was banned for it? That doesn't make it right. Buja shouldn't have been banned for it, and he shouldn't ban others for it.
