i can tell you this, im 100% certain that you will need more than 2 subs. if you think you are going to get at least 18 of 20 (90%) of these tourney winners to show up youre in for a surprise. top TWL squads dont even get 90% attendance to the TWL finals. do a 3rd place game every week and add the 3rd place winner to a list of alternates or you will end up having chaos on the finals day when only 13 people show up and you end up having to add random people or come up with some fucked up bracketing system. maybe you should just go ahead and add the 4th place people to a list of "2nd alternates", if the 3rd place finishers dont fill in all the gaps. taking the 3rd place as alternates from now on and the 4th place as 2nd alternates would end up giving you 18 qualifiers, 11 alternates, 9 "2nd" alternates. that gives you 38 people, so that you only need about 50% attendence.

Esc has a point, you should definately add the third and 4th as alternates so you will have enough players show. Shit comes up and things happen sometimes that wont allow some people to be there, and ya need to be rdy for that.

I know that I'm probably just one more person bitching about this, but I think that there needs to be a different way to get into tournaments. I know it's unreasonable to let everyone in an arena play, but I think something a little more fair should be developed. The "first 16 to message me get in" technique isn't all that fair for people that are lagging a little more than the others. They've got no chance whatsoever of getting in - just because of their location (or in some cases) their connection.

I thought this was a very good idea though Cylor. I think if this caught on with the other TW Staff this could become a big thing for the zone. :up:
