Bazhn, some current Staff members started their qiest to be on staff with simple courtesy to members, activeness, knowledge of the aspects of the game, etc. Some started with having specific powers to start a bot in a specific arena, such as the power to start wbduel and wbduel2, javduel, or base.
Be active, show the staff you're committed by getting into something that will benefit the zone such as Map making, making up new events, devloping bots, etc.
If you keep working at it I'm sure you'll eventually get to host some stuff like you want.

Btw: Being able to start wbduel,javduel, base.. Isnt hosting at all. All you do is assign captains. !game !t1-setcaptain !t2-setcaptain !startpick
