Rab is actually right. Why are we still dependent on Priitk to host the shitty server TW runs on? TW staff are powerless to do anything, and the only excuse I've seen as to why we don't control our own zone is money, yet somehow the bot server is paid for without problems. Why can't TW be run on the bot server then? Is 20+ year old 2d game really taking up that much bandwidth?

NECRO ALERT! What I don't understand is, why aren't the zone settings, and historical zone settings readily available as another insurance measure? Community members deserve to be involved in the fate of TW just as much as staffers do. At the very least, that way the people who play, and have played since the late 90s, can still enjoy the zone locally, or on a small network ffs. I can start a server up, but it only has svs settings in TW maps lol.

EDIT: finally found the settings in someone's github! Also, yeah if you have that much money in donations, there's no reason you can't have your own server and run your own billing server as well. Jesus, get out from under priitk and his weird attitude towards this game now. Also probably time to start thinking of crowdfunding to hire a team of devs to re-vamp the game and make it an actual self-contained game that can launch multi-player on the fly and let people have squads/lobbies then create their zone or enter others.
