It is interesting, though, that the SCOTUS justices voting to overturn Roe were chosen by non-popularly elected presidents

i think 4 of the 9 supreme court justices were nominated by presidents who lost the popular vote: Barrett (Trump), Kavanaugh (Trump), Gorsuch (Trump), and Roberts (Bush).

Alito (Bush) was nominated in Bush's second term, where he won the popular vote -- although one could argue the huge incumbency advantage derived from being president while losing the vote count makes it 5 of 9.
