TW society compared to other games society.

For the past 4-5 years I have been playing this game along with Counter Strike and Action Quake2, I've been quite succesful in both these, being in one of the best AQ2 team in the world and also rising in CS playing the top american teams. But enough of that, soon my interest in subspace grew after playing it for so many years, I started attending the hosted games which even made me go further so recently I joined a squad which I left for another squad due to inactivity (I was alone on the chat for a week). In just a couple of days I just met many of the most dishonest people with no loyality in them at all, they left the squad for even the slightest reasons, examples: "They didn't put me in the dd lineup once. They told me to stop complaining while playing. They kept challenging better teams.". This just went on like this and annoyed the hell out of me.

I'm the kind of person that likes to have most fun as possible while playing, so usually I'll open my mouth alot during game and events, irritating some but amusing myself but that's just how I like it. Winning is also a big part of having fun, and the best way to do that is to keep playing with the same people which I have done in all the other games and eventually it will pay off big time. But I have never seen it so bad in any other games so I ask you all, should I keep on playing to the point I actually join a squad that actually has stable players or should I just stick to the things where I don't have to count on others like events because it just goes downhill from here?

Maybe though you should stop and think though, that since people are different, thus far your opinion is of course based on what was probably not a great cross-section of the community. You didn't name the squad, so I dunno. However:

You just had a newb squad experience, shit like that happens all the time and when those kids mature, there'll be plenty more to fill their shoes. Look for a more stable squad with people who you like being around and like being around you and then it'll last much much longer. Although, that is the ideal of it. That situation does not happen as often as 2 week squads do.

Get a friend, and join their squad. I did that and had the most fun of my ss career while on it. That squad was Imitations. We werent very good, but were in the top 5 in twdd during twl times(it was always a rivlary with Zeba Cosma(or was it cosmo) and Xolox). That didnt last once the twl squads came back, but it was still fun. My point is sooner or later youll find a squad that you click with and can have a truly great time in.

edit: When you say open your mouth, do you mean trash talking or just quite vocal like saying ow after dying, every time, etc?

and dont take half those whiny people as most ss'ers, those guys are the ones that wont amount to anything, or are just assholes

i used to play diaspora.. basically like i have said it is the exact opposite of this game, but still in space. u make money and work hard to buy a ship, if u die it is a huge setback. people usually dont fight unless someone is mean or your squad is in a war with another squad. people were a lot more laid back in that game because it was not as fast paced or skill based. there were no lineups, you just fight even if its 100 vs. 1 and its always impromptu. you were ranked pretty much by what ship you had, but a ton of people cheated and that put a big wrench in things and eventually brought the game down.

Hehe, Sarger one thing I noticed you are dumb about (sorry couldn't get another word, I don't mean it) never count on others for you're fun. Always make it happen, with your brain, your ways, your style, just let the extreme kid in yourself out in games like this. It doesn't need tension like you are talking about squads now. Squads are a weird thing I tell you. I always owned a squad, never joined a squad, even though I have gotten like 234234234 offers (not bragging, truth). The point is, its you! Don't let anyone play you for your own fun. And make you're own choice here, don't listen to me if you don't want to. Make you're own decision! Getting a decision from someone else is weak. Always stand up for what you believe in!

I usually show my teammates respect and I don't insult them so it's not that.

To Daemon Angell: I'm at the moment in CAL-p (we would probably be in CAL-i if we were based in the U.S) where we finished 5th if i remember correctly after bad playoffs but after a few roster changes we're setting our goal to cal-i. I've also won cal-im, both league and playoffs which is pretty hard to do when your ping is around 100-130.

Sarger you were probably in one of those squad that die as quickly as they start.. you should look around for a squad with a bit bigger name, get noticed by them and you will notice the difference.

agreed. The top notch squads in ur gay games are probably much older people, not 12,13,14 etc. Therefor, will be more mature and will take the game much more serioulsy.

This game has a huge amount of morons. But don't let that fool you, there are dedicated, fun and loyal players out there. A lot of them too.
