This is totaly retarded, tw has its point systems, why make a game made by virgin interactive a game that you have to pay for like FF11 or everquest, those games deserve to be paid for due to them having massive servers, not just one server. Donate'in money is aight, helps out with the server payment, If it were to come down to paying for anything it should be names, like 1 name for 1$ a month and .50 each aditional name, which this would be stupid to but its better then buying credits, subspace is fine how it is, there is plenty of staff working on making the game more enjoyable, like keeping the bots online as much as possible, hosting games for everyone to enjoy, setting up sweet scoreboards on their webpages, ect, enuff of this , its stupid.

buying credits? man read the post before you starting making crap up it was never about BUYING credits, its earning them in the FREE game, twit <slap>.

Star kitty is right about people pitching in, there are plenty of talented coders our there, remember when zeus posted for coders? it got alot of people.

Some people think the idea of credits is too unorginal, this is TRENCH WARS people, since when did something like credits be copied from another zone!? TW will have the a unique way of handling/ spending credits, this isn't a zone with 5 people in it :P

That's the point ... In trench wars the credits system might work extremely well simply because there's usuall 400+ people online at any one time (when i'm around) Therefore there's plenty of competition, and it would make the pubs more interesting too if some sort of system can be put in place there.

Also Trench RPG would be good, someone should make the map based on these ideas above^^^

But still, unless people volunteer to help out then nothing will get done. :down: .. sucks

I hope this idea doesn't go in the bin with my others, Continuum mixed with bit torrent (steal players bandwidth) and Gingers having the same rights as normal humans :P

It would make tw more interesting but they have something like that , that can be implied more strictly and that would be usage, you need like 36 hours to elim ect, and if they can get mr arro to work better and boot ppl sitting for 30 mins without type and get the bot to ignore the baseelimalert:!on witha ?away blah blah then usage would work great, besides pub is more fun then most hosted games any ways i still play pub and been playing since 97 and Tw since late 99 :P its always fun to hold base with 2 ppl, or my whole squad, or spawn/lame ect :LP $$$$

okay, in my own opinion, u basically want a new zone altogether. Look, no offense to you at all, but Trench is fine the way it is. It was fine before they messed with the lanc, it was fine before they screwed over the lev and the weasel, and it is fine now. Nothing needs changing. Credits for ship upgrades is changing basically EVERYTHING (imo). If you want that, SSCX Hyperspace is looking for players to fill its arenas. you'd like that zone, give it a try.

If we all agree that pub can have its unequal moments, I'd say these "credits" that you speak of should be put towards upgrades such as

- start with decoys for any ship
- speed upgrades
- bricks

As long as its not an upgrade that would affect damage or damage radius, I think its fair to an extent.
