TKing Sharks

How does staff handle Shark players that CONSTANTLY mine in places where it is guarenteed to team kill( ie in flag room, under the flag "base" ). The other day my freq had a Shark like that, who would mine in those two places, plus mining on attack, and he would score at least 3 team kills everytime the enemy Shark repped. Almost everyone on the freq asked him to stop mining where he was, he didn't listen, more asked him to stop and he laughed about it. Fungal ToeNails I think his name was. Anyway, I used ?cheater twice about him and I guess there were no mods on or something, and others used ?cheater as well, but nothing was done and he continued to do it. I think when finally a mod even entered the arena, he just stopped until they left, then did it again. So how are situations like this handled?

Ideally, they'd ban you for whining and prize him super and shields.

People very rarely lay mines to intentionally teamkill, 95% of times people lay mines just through lack of experience in that paticular ship.

Do they laugh and refuse to stop mining in those places? I stopped mining in those places when i first started after i get yelled at once, I mean come on it isnt that hard to learn mine=there there=tk.

There was a similar player called homo9 or 3 or something. He has an unbelivable amount of warns for team killing.

Anyway, whenever a report comes through about a player intentionally team killing in a shark, a Moderator investigates as he/she would in a normal team killing case. First of, if the player is spotted to intentionally team kill, we would advise them to place their mines in a more suitable place (lower, rather than across the line). If they ignore the advice and continue, they are issued with a warning (which explains what teamkilling is and why its illegal) and a setship. If they change ships and continue, they get locked in a non-teamkilling ship. If they evade that again, we ban them.

Personally I give more chances to people who are "team killing" if it looks really accidental etc, however if its obviuosly blatent then they are shipped to EG. :]

If he is mining in the enterance of the flag room, then dont be there. ez way to avoid team killing. "kill em first!!!"

hmm shark would be pretty useless if it was stuck to mining... nowhere :P you'll just have to be not so foolish to fly around a mined area I mean its like jumping into a pool of sharks (he he)
