I'm not going to waste my time trying to be sensible with you, because you're saying the same shit over and over. A ten-page essay won't do any good, so let me sum it up in one sentence.

As they stand now, Levis have no place in basing.

There, good enough for you? There is no legitimate strategy for in-base Levis to use that won't completely ruin basing.

That said, the people who can use levis in the proper confinements of basing, are those molded from the compromise. They can still play how they want and they don't harm anyone else.

A levi can be a factor in basing, because hell, look at all other MMO games, from RPGs to FPS, they don't eleiminate their heavy weapons like warriors and rocket launchers from the game just because they do heavy damage, no, they fine tune them within the game to either have low ammo and be slow and the like. A single levi can take out the flagroom, that's true, which you say makes pure basing not fun, which I disagree, because just as a single levi can take out a flagroom, a single warbird can easily take out that levi. Pure base is all about teamwork, and frankly, levis need to rely on their team to be effective, so doesn't that actually make levis good for basing which is a team oriented affair?

Enough of the analogies, they're usually suspect from the get go. Leviathan players if you extract the tiny percentage that is willing to base (I'd say about 5-10%), then of those, you extract the ones that would rather die than TK their teamates (1-3%?) You have to see how it just isn't viable. That's to start.

The rest of your analogy to other MMO games is silly at best. Thors and bricks are already removed from Trench wars as they are not condusive to the game, the ability to shoot through walls, or to just block of the flagroom door goes too heavily for one side. What about prox? Greening different turn rates and speeds? Where's all that stuff? Rocket Launchers and other artillery in the other games aren't removed because 9 times out of 10 there is a way of avoiding instant death (dodging). Even if you detail a warbird or two, or three (1/5 of the whole team by this point mind you) to kee levs out of mid, and away from the roof and sides, and keep them on constant patrol: They have to be right 100% of the time in their aim and shots. The Lev or LT has to only be right once to fuck up the entire flagroom. And even being wrong if they hit a wall.. somewhat nearby they will still blow half of it to hell. Do you see the problem yet?

Levs are not good for a greater team game like basing. The only teamwork they're capable of is as a turret, blowing up large amounts of shit.

TK is right in what you're saying, but only addresses part of it. Rocket Launchers don't kill people, People kill people. However when you're handing out rocket launchers to anybody that wants one then you're going to see jerks abuse that to screw with as many people as they can manage. That needs to stop. Look at the old players talking about the degredation of the zone. We have a large playerbase, and the new guys coming in are being taught that it's fine and cool and just a part of it all if they want to wreck everybody else's playing experience. That also needs to stop.

As an aside: You say you play in ?go base. If lev players can contribute to basing, and arguably the very best of the best basers play there and TWLB-TWBD, then why is the lev banned there? If the best basers can't manage it, how exactly do you propose that AwesomeGuy14 that's been playing for 6 days is going to manage it?
