Matchbot macros from Arobas+

Make sure you get and use Supermacro v3.0 from Arobas+. The most useful macros are the Level 2 "add" macros. There are also macro'ed commands for changing, as well as macros for basing and duelling. The linked zip is pretty much unchanged from the original except for a few spelling changes. Here's the original desciption of them and how to use them:

If you're capping in go base, type ?loadmacro add, then page up/down to the player and hit Ctrl-F3 to add them as spider, etc.

I pretty much use these macros exclusively and I have ?loadmacro basemsg in my auto.

Yeah, that's what I see... but sometimes to be fair, cap the person that say "cap" first (that's not a newbie) plz... dont cap your friends -_-

You have to have a macro saved as that name first and then you type ?loadmacro <name>. By the way, why do people use macros for adding people and changing ships in ?go base? Seems like more trouble than it's worth to me-and I'm a big believer in macros.

you first have to make your macros, then ?savemacro <name>, then you can load maxros by using ?loadmacro <name>

Being a cap in ?go base is easy and you can explain someone in 10 secs how to do so...

but that doesn't mean people get it and for some reason it still takes an hour to choose 8 people.

Simple, people have been capping the first person to ask for long enough that people expect it now. But usually the people that complain are newbies trying to get into the game (if they don't get cap, they don't get in- so they get mad if they don't get cap). Are these really the people we want capping?

The bot doesn't say who started and assigned the captains so those complaining probably don't even know who they're complaining to anyway. If they do, that's ok, they'll live.

EDIT: The macros files belong where CTM is installed...usually C:\Program Files\Continuum.

yeah you can't ?loadmacro a macro you have made in the continuum macro edit thingy, you need to make separate files.
