  • Changing weasel shipset

I'm having trouble changing the weasel shipset on trenchwars because of its modified size. None of the regular shipsets will work. Anyone know of a quick fix so I can get the weasel shipset working on trenchwars?

    TIA

    Use a 360x144 ship6.bm2.

I don't think that works... the ship6.bm2 is stored in the trench3.lvz and as far as I know, you can't use custom graphics with any arena that stores them in a .lvz

You're probably right. Unchecking 'use optional level graphics' might work if you really cared enough.

        EDIT: No, that doesn't work.

I don't know if this will work:

Download the lvz toolkit from www.subspacedownloads.com
                Unpack trench3.lvz using debuildlevel.exe
Replace ship3.bm2 (or is it the whole ships.bm2?) with the one you want.
                Repack trench3.lvz using buildlevel.exe
Replace the old one with the new one.

Open up Continuum and enter TW.

I think in some circumstances you can change some bits of a lvz without having to redownload the lvz.

That won't work. If the lvz on your computer differs even 1 byte from the one on the server it will redownload it.

Hint: It's because you're talking about something totally different than the subject at hand.

He doesn't want to make a small shipset. He wants to replace the graphics on his own personal copy of Continuum, which he is finding very hard to do because the small weasel graphic is stored in a .lvz file.

thanks for the replies.. I guess I would like to replace just the weasel shipset with a small graphic... so maybe if there was someway i could resize my shipset and then use that?
