How the hell does this work

Well I was checking up on a friends profile and talking to him on MSN, I clicked on the profile and looekd top right. It said:

Last activity was on 10:40 am
Currently Sending MSN Message

How does Vbulletin keep track of your MSN messages?

You can send a msg to them thru TW forums to their MSN. Just click on their profile, go to Instant Messaging, then bam, you can instant msg them. So your friend was probably using that to msg you.
