Hey all,

I'm sorry I couldn't get a newsletter out last week, I was insanely busy
and this week doesn't seem to be any less hectic. That being said however,
I know you guys couldn't live going two weeks in a row without a newsletter
so I've decided to set aside some time out of my schedule to do one.
Now then, after a short hiatus, here is your news! This is what our current
roster looks like as of 02.08.2001:

If for some reason you haven't heard, we are currently #1 in the TWDL
pyramid. This came after we beat WildFire 2-1 in an extremely exciting TWDL
match a little under two weeks ago! If you haven't seen the pyramid, you
can head over to trenchwars.org and view them there. They recently added
two more levels (5 & 6) to the TWDL pyramid, so us being on top looks extra
cool with all of those other squads listed beneath us! ) Anyway, we will
have to work extremely hard to keep our spot and as it turns out, the first
challenger to our throne is none other than Siege. <gulp> I have a history
of playing extremely bad against them so I'm not exactly looking forward to
this match. p Not to despair however since I know we have alot of
talented players on this squad who can definitely hold their own. Below I
will list our weekend matches and provide some notes on each...

TWDL (vs Siege)
- this will be our first defense of our newly gained #1 position
- Siege is probably the best wb dueling squad in tw (great pilots, great
teamwork)
- if there was ever a time to "stick together", it will be in this match
- expect them to eat alot of bullets due to their thrust lag techniques, or
just plain lag
- players to watch out for: umm, all of them? (although some of them are
ez'ier than the rest... ie: blood axe, dynasty, dice, nypd)
- if we are to win this, it will most definitely be by time limit decisions
- in other words, don't expect it to come down to us eliminating all 5 of
them (they play extremely safe)

TWJL (vs Digressed)
- a win in this will get us back on the twjl pyramid
- digressed in terms of skill is better than your average newbie squad but
definitely nowhere near us
- just don't underestimate these guys and we should be able to win
- as long as we can get into a "man advantage" situation, we'll be fine

One last thing I wanted to touch on before I ended this is the website. I
know alot of you have been concerned with the recent lack of updates and I
guess I'm the one to blame for that. After qan quit I thought that I would
be able to maintain it by myself but obviously that hasn't been the case.
So that means that I will have to enlist one of you guys to help me out.
Now I already know some of you are interested in the position so I know I
won't have to look hard. Anyway, I don't have time now to deal with
this so I'll place it in my "to-do" list! Watch for developments soon
though...
