The IPs do not match.

Ok, so what. Run a whois on the IP addy to see where in the world they're located. Just because the IP addys don't match doesn't mean shit, even with a static IP connection (cable for example) there are still ways to get around having just one IP. Proxy servers, releasing and renewing the IP, calling up your ISP and requesting a change, hell even using a friends dialup account from your PC. Also, you didn't mention how they didn't match. Are they almost the same up to the last set, or is it completely different. I don't know about you but I can tell if an ip is a dialup or broadband just by the way it looks. Least I used to, been awhile since I was a moderator on a forum like this.

Point is that them not matching still doesn't mean shit unless you've traced back the IP to different locations in the world. I know what I'm talking about here, I was a moderator for Stratics for almost 3 years (name used was FatherGanja, worked for uo.stratics.com. Content editor, moderator and a reporter. Around 50-60k users, WAY bigger pond than these boards). Hell, give me the fucking ips and I'll trace the bastards.

And for those wondering about them seeing our ip addys: I don't know about this forum software, but with the UBBThreads system once you gave an account mod/admin powers the IP addy shows up under your name/avatar. On each post.

Mods, admins, people with powers here, if you have an option to search ip addys on the forum or a range, try running gradually backwards search with his ip. Basicly, start by searching posts with the most recent ip used, then go back a set and input a wildcard in it's place. You'd be surprised how often you can catch ban evaders this way. But don't mind me, just backseat modding.
