    Zone skillz transference

    Inspired by what xSliderx said in the current "Squads" thread, I decided to check out Death Star Battles for myself. I've been sticking to TW pretty much exclusively. Played a little The Gauntlet on & off.

    My personal opinion is that TW skills do transfer quite well to DSB, especially ships 2&6- very super spider like. The basing aspect was much more "rich", more squeeze sites. It was also fun using the starwars ship set.

    The Gauntlet is nuts. It seems to take a different skill set- and getting used to loser liners. Once I get back into it I do OK. But, I felt more confident at DSB after only one session.The pubs rarely get a team feel going either, unlike TW.

    Anyway, I don't want to advertise other zones. Just want to get an idea of what other zones are at all "TW-like" for when I need a change of pace. Opinions? Comments?

    If you can play TW, Extreme Games is extremely easy. Try it and you'll see.

            I played a bit of EG a while back, and I participated in one of their hosted tournys. After only two tournys played, I won an entire 1v1 tourny, then went to elim and got a better rec than I normally get in TW. EG = EZ if you're good at TW.

              True, I used to play Extreme Games when I just started to play, and I wasn't so good at it, then I played TW and when it's down or when I'm bored I play EG and then I pwn everyone
              help: (how do i shot) (Public 0): how do i travel diagonally? i only have up, down, left and right keys.

                You're thinking of EG Dueling.

                EG Flagging is a lot trickier and requires some nice thinking, unlike TW Basing which anyone can do.

                  I'd call eg flagging just as easy as tw basing.
                  The only TWO TIME TWLJ All-Star and TWLB All-Star who never played a game.

                            my main tactic in EG (back when i had cable) was to turn off my cable box, rush through the enemy defense, and turn it back on within 8 seconds. guarenteed pwnage.

                              played EG for my first 2.5 years, was fun though i never really rigured the whole reputation stuff out. came to tw and learned jav then dropped back in EG and it was much easier, especially milking
