I had always thought it was that file ^. That the top half was the bullets and the middle row was bursts and the bottom half was bouncing/emp bullets. I'm pretty sure it's that file. Just not which row is which? Surely someone does...True quote from forums:

Session Usage: This may not apply to everyone, but after 2-3 hours of playing, my eyes get fatigue and I notice my gameplay slowly going downhill. I guess my mind is numbing as the time goes because my reactions become slower and slower as time goes on. Breaks are obviously a good thing. Even the best of the best need their rest. Spending just the right amount of time playing to which you feel comfortable without pushing it, means you can always play at the same level of mental response. Anymore and you'll notice your aim go haywire and your recs go negative. Everyone is different. - Intriquality
I happen to disagree. Well first of all I don't get 'fatigued' unless it's just time for me to sleep; I could play any amount of time and still feel fine before then; the only times something of the sort happens is when mind alterations begin to happen in regards to sleep schedule reactions etc.
And when that does happen, it can happen in one of two ways - the first way is for the mind to trigger sleep inducing chemicals into the body making one drowsy and retarding brain function. This does hinder performance.
However another thing that can happen is that I may be in a hyped mood which negates the sleep/drowsiness inducing effect but the mind nonetheless gets tired and the consciousness does fade to some extent. This actually increases my gameplay efficiency by a minimum of .5 times (many times twice as well or more) than normal.
I believe this is due to the fact that a mental shift from conscious gameplay to a mix of partial subconscious and conscious play happens. And since subconscious performance is far more precise and stellar due to lack of subjective consciousness assessment/judgment tampering and due to execution being primarily based strictly off developed over time habitual reflex and reaction rather than mental assessment, I think that mode of play outweighs normal conscious non-fatigue mode play.
But again, the one thing that has to be acknowledged is that if you do become drowsy due to the sleep chemical triggering upon conscious fatigue then your peformance will indeed go down.
Which is why a lot of people can do better when they are high or moderatly drunk. Your post makes sense.
It's a good thing I added in that last line:

Indeed; I actually wouldn't have said anything if you had kept it at that but when you said 'even the best need their rest' you implied you were making a point for others and somewhat retracted the 'everyone is different' statementTrench Wars' # 1 Solo WB

I almost exclusivly play in the non-pure pubs, Lev-terring, and over the past year I've tinkered with my client's graphics to try and give myself an edge over hunters and other lev-terrs... Some of the changes include:
1.All optional graphics turned off, most prominantly the star field. I also removed all background graphics, such as the stars and planets that are dispersed around the map.
2.I changed lev bomb graphics and bullet graphics, including the burst, to just plain white... My reasoning was that nothing would stand out more against a black background than white, and I don't play for the eye candy... I'd say that it has definatly made seeing incoming missiles much easier, and my dodging has improved. I left the mines and jav bombs alone... Knowing if a bomb has bounced yet is handy. I can tell what sort of bullet is incoming by the trail behind it. Bursts always move at the same speed so they are easy to identify.
3.I removed the asteroid graphic and replaced it with a red/white "aiming square" that makes lining up pixel-specific shots much quicker. It also shows me the exact boundaries of the asteroid, and as it isn't animated it is much easier to navigate around when using as a shield against incoming bullets.
4.Changed the radar colors so that enemies are displayed as red and light brown instead of blue and light blue. The file to edit is colors.bm2 if I remember correctly, just look for the 2 blue lines that are the radar colors for enemies and change them to whatever colors you want. I changed mine because sometimes I would not notice an enenmy hiding in the asteroids on my radar, and now that the colors are so different the chance of that happening is less.
Those are the main changes I've made to my client.. I play at 1280x1024 res (ONLY res to play if you can imho), and have my user list and radar set to be translucent, which I settled on after realizing the opaque boxes were giving me less reaction time when being shot at from the corners.
Obviously this setup is best for terring a lev, as your main job is to dodge warp and line up shots, but some of the changes might help with other aspects of the game.

I liked the idea on the graphics on your rocks, helps to get around em easier. But taking off so much graphics...I mean. You basically took a nice flower and stripped it down to the stem. Taking off a peddle or two is alright, but I would still want stars, rocks and planets, it's entertaining. I guess i'm just one of the players that can't handle playing a bare-black and white bullet 2 dimensional game. Gotta juice it up a little...

As for calling Continuum a nice flower... At one point it totally deserved being called that, but if I wanted to play a game with eye candy in mind, there are a few dozen titles I'd think of before it. It's the competition that keeps drawing me back...

Being able to see out farther and having more time to compute a dodge (mentally) gives you heavy advantage over someone who is running a low resolution. It's like your the sniper in the tower and he's running around with his head cut off shooting in the direction of your fire. Obviously LCD's are just more favorable because of visual quality and improving response time. Also 17-19 inch monitors tend to be the most favorable. Bigger ones are nice but I wouldn't want to be turning my head to watch for bullets.1:Kthx> Hey Cower ill let you play the next game if you can name me five medieval weapons.

If im laggy i shut down all my programs running, if that doesnt work i simply move down with my laptop. Suddenly dont lag out anymore.
Better example: used 2 have adsl but not wireless and id get all mad at skatarius 4 lagging. Now i use wireless, a couple of month ago the speed even increased but im way more laggy then skatarius :fear:
Dyers eve even specced me in base once cus i was a shark that cud take like 10 bullets before dying ^-^
