    Hmmmm, that's an interesting argument... if enough people could go for that, it might be able to happen

    Btw, Arilou did the settings, I sat around and offered suggestions while he worked his magic. I think that taking off the attaching and the stealth would make it a bit more balanced.

      This Nightgay ship does emphasize teamwork, but it makes u lose skill. The only way you can kill someone is if ur with the team. I'm a WB and I dont team. Nightgay is for basers. Basers should cry me a river about how weasels suck but give back all the ships starting advantages back. You cant shoot (in a wb) and live for a total of 30 secs. All the noobs cloak, and turret and own the heck out of you. So lame, so gay.

        it's okay to have if you just want to have fun. hell i racked up 65 bty with my frist use of it today(though i think it starts at 10 bty). though any skilled player will have no problem beating this ship. all in all it's a well rounded ship. good joke if it is one, good start though if it's here to stay.

            WE MUST KEEP THIS SHIP. i already have a playing style with it. It just needs to recharge slightly faster with everything on, or take a little less energy to fire. when i fire cloak, fire cloak, fire cloak (bullets not bombs) it seems im down on energy just slightly sooner then what would seem to be right, i should be able to do the fire cloak one more time before out of energy. this ship seems like it would get more assists than kills, its a ship that causes damage in more completed confrontations than actual kills. TW is a game of fast recharging ships and so in the field this is pointless but not in basing.

              I just got done with a 2 hour basing session--warbird, jav, terr and shark--and it was the most amazing experience I've had in months.

              The nightwasp, with a couple minor tweaks, would make an excellent addition to the ship lineup. First of all, unless javs get their X-radar back permanently (that's another thread, for another day), the NW should not be attachable. Having to dodge weapons and shout at your teammates about the location of a cloaker as enemies continue to materialize from the ether... not fun.

              I know I said 'a couple', but I changed my mind; I was going to recommend the removal of the ability to lay mines, but after considering, it's fair enough for the ship's role.

              As for increasing the recharge? I can't say that'd be entirely balanced--the settings are pretty near perfect already. (Tone arguing for improvements and Stultus against? Madness.) One point I can agree on: KEEP IT.


              PS: let sharks keep regular, non-EMP bombs. Holy crap that's some awesome sharking.

                yes, too be the special complex ship that has elements of many other ships, it must keep that one mine, besides, with full energy that mine only does damage, not a kill. on the enterence to base, that mine serves as a nitewasp detector if it goes off without seeing anything, also it weakens the ship that goes through it and ships near. if not slightly more firing before out of energy (bullets not bombs), maybe it could use a slightly greater speed, like 10% faster or something. for those who hate levi's so much, if you want to spare slow helpless field levis and have a little fun, instead of just going fire fire fire fire kill as fast as you can (boring).. fire once at it and cloak, wait 5 seconds, fire again and cloak, make that levi unable to recharge and harrass it. play around with it. nitewasps should never have x radar, nite wasp VS nite wasp without it is great. another unique thing is that it can replace or work with the base terrier and stay cloaked so that ships can base longer before their transportation is killed, if being cloaked helps keep the NW alive. If there are too many nite wasps let alone terriers basing and it becomes too easy to get back to base, then i wonder if it can be made so that a bounty of 4 or 5 is needed to attach to wasp, yet still 3 for terrier? if nitewasp is only planed for april fools, maybe the staff could consider nitewasp weekends. i think nitewasp should show up more than once a year. my humble opinion: tell the ship yard to get to work on a mass production of nitewasps!

                  I like the new ship, it may seem a bit overpowered now, but that was the case with all other changes to ship settings before I've seen (weasel with 3 bullets and new lanc). I think that people need to get used to it, both playing it and killing it. After a while we will learn how to use it best and how to kill it best.
                  So far I like it, it really adds something to the game imho. The only thing is that like other people here I'd rather lose the lev for this one.

                      Actually, that ship is a piece of shit. Its manuevering is horrible, its fire rate is way too slow, and its bombs don't do hardly any damage. This could be a legit ship. Now all they have to do is change the levi and lancaster into more useful ships. Though, no one would use the nightwasp in league play, so they probably have to tweak it more yet. (Assuming leagues would allow its use).

                        I truely love the NightWasp!

                        It's not very powerfull on its own. And that is for a reason: this ship would not embody the essence what is was created for.
                        The truth of the nightwasp was to make the lamest vulching ship one could imagine. You can steal kills anyway you want, with a bomb or, with spider bullets. You can chase EMPed ships around for fun.
                        However, it is so (over)powerfull that it will become primary target too shoot. It will never be as annoying as the lovely underpowered weasel. People were allways crying at weasels. They only make 2-3 kills a minute (if they wanna survive).
                        The nightwasp makes ten times that many kills, with vulching 8-). Its way too powerfull ATM, but a very good attempt to make a really versatile "allround" ship.

                          Cant We All Just Get Along?!

                          Why not keep the Nightwasp and the Weasel? The nw has no xadar and the x does. It would be another ship to counter the nw while it is cloaked. People seem to like the nw for basing but not for the field. And the weasel isnt even used for basing; why not just add the nw as the 9th ship, like was previously mentioned and keep weasel for the pubbers.

                            The ship right now is a little too overpowered.

                            Right now the ship can act like

                            shark
                            weasle
                            miniterr
                            jav
                            spid

                            kind of a hybrid of almost all of the ships in a way. The added emp is deadly, definatly against a wb to cripple it than bullets would finish it off. This ship is a bit overpowered and dosen't rely on teamwork to get any job done. This is not a good dogfighting ship outside base but when inside watch out!!!

                            They shouldn't replace this ship but take out the levi and put this ship in it's place because the levi is just annoying, useless and anyways, the nightwasp can easly shread the levi, so if the nightwasp is permenant, than the levi would be killed before it has a chance to use a bomb.

                              It probably will lose the mines, it can't act like a jav, the speed and other settings make it different then a spider and it may lose the turret ability and it will be 1 per freq based on highest score. I'm replying to these threads AnidaLife, because i'm seeing a lot of stupid ideas. Ari is running it now if you want to know so that if people dont like it we can write it off as a joke and unless Arilou is lying directly to me and the rest of lower staff, it is real. Now we can't do 9 ships without an unlikely update, the levi won't be replaced I can tell you that right now and the weasel has been annoying and disruptive for publics and it seems like a waste of time going back to trying to fix the weasel when we have a working and useable basing ship to copy and paste over it.

                                making it much much weaker than any given one of those ships. Face it, it takes some amount of skill. I personally don't see a problem with its attaching, outside base it is relativly safe for the nw to be attached to, inside flagroom it is so cramped (and as has been said with regard to weasels in basing, there is far to many red bullets) that a skilled spider can pick the general direction of a nw and shoot at it by the people that materialise from it. a jav is even better, it doesn't need X radar if people are attaching... a bomb hitting someone who has just detached will surely kill or cripple the nightwasp. Its not as good at surviving as a terrier.
