Would it be possible to have a bot that say PM'd you when someone you wanted to know logged on.

I did something like that for messagebot... determine when people have just logged in so MessageBot can tell them that they have new messages. Dunno if the upper staff people would want a "LoginBot".

Just a quote from myself posted on dev board... basically: It has been done, just not for that purpose... it can be adapted for both things but would need permission.

I like the idea, but not implemented in that way.

the way you laid out makes it too easy to stalk people. I, for one, would immediately use it to figure out when t0ne logged on, so I could go make his life a little more miserable. the way I specified would ensure that there's a mutual desire to talk to each other.

Well, not EVERYONE !notify <insert name here>, that they're looking for you... maybe they were 'curious' and might want to talk to you later on (not when you first login)...
Maybe something like:

*Suxxor logs in*
(LoginBot)>Dimboy have requested !notify on you. PM me with !accept or !reject offer.
Suxxor>::!accept

*To Dimboy*
(LoginBot)>Suxxor have accepted/rejected your invitation to be notified when he/she logs in.

Heh, if we're getting complicated: You could have a friends list (probably just use your chatlist/squadmates list) that the bot would automatically allow a notification- everyone else just gives the "target" a "[playername] is looking for you" message.

Or perhaps to reduce spam (for specifically for the staff etc), There are 3 people looking for you...

Sounds like a good idea and I don't think it'd be hard to do it.

I'd also like a !squadmessage bot which would help squad captains to message every member at once to make sure everyone knows about important events and news.
