Racism and cursing are completely different subjects.

Why? I know this is a stupid question, but I thought racism was forbidden because people get offended by it. Same goes with cursing for some people.

Racism is more than just about people getting offended. You don't have to find something offensive to know that it's wrong, for instance. It's also about issues of fairness and equality. When critics focus only on who gets offended by what, they only address part of the issue.
