  • Stat Questions

    Firstly, when someone is killed a number is displayed next to their name. This isn't the bounty number; it's something else. Sometimes it can be up around 500 (even though they have a bounty of 3) but when I'm killed it's around 0

    Example:

    Frother(2) was killed by: PlayerA
    PlayerB(352) was killed by: PlayerA

    What is this number?

    Also, in the stat box, what is Ave an average of? And what is considered a good rating? Over a thousand? What increases one's rating?
    human frother = human.build(79, 0, 0, 775, 97, Genome.Randomize("male"), true);
    frother.runLife();

    Its the kill points gained for the kill.
    The formula is (I think) something like
    Code:
    Kill Worth = Bounty + 200(# of flag killer's team has) + 25% of killer's bounty
    You get zero points for team kills and for some spawn kills
    People who are rather more than six feet tall and nearly as broad across the shoulders often have uneventful journeys. People jump out at them from behind rocks then say things like, "Oh. Sorry. I thought you were someone else."

      AVE is average points per kill. It doesn't mean much.

      Rating doesn't mean much in a zone like TW either. It's mainly used in SVS.

      As far as the number in question, Kyace already nailed that for you.

        Well, it's not that they don't mean much but rather they don't mean much if you're comparing yourself to others. People play different styles and the scores like ave and r will reflect how they play. It won't show if they're good or bad. What it can help is show how you do compared to yourself. I have a personal target of around 1400 for my R and an ave at least 150, but that reflects how I play the game. I know that if I reach those numbers, I've been doing well. Another way that those stats help is that if you want a general idea of whether or not other people on your team are decent basers is to look at their ave. If it's over 100 then that means that more often than not, they play on a team that has the flag. This is of course only an estimate as some people don't care about the flag but always seem to wind up on the team that has it, but it's a good quick way to get an idea of how your team will do.

          Blast, sorry, I must have overlooked the second part of your questions.

          R, the rating has a formula (stolen from RoboHelp):
          Code:
          Rating = (points from kills x 10 + (wins - losses) x 100) /(wins + 100)
          Ave is as P H said average points per kill so it would be
          Code:
          Average Kill = (points from kills) / (kills)
          Both of these only use your points from kills and kills since last scorereset (either biweekly or from asking a mod)
          People who are rather more than six feet tall and nearly as broad across the shoulders often have uneventful journeys. People jump out at them from behind rocks then say things like, "Oh. Sorry. I thought you were someone else."

            Ok thanks you guys have helped a lot!

            But what's a flag killer?
            human frother = human.build(79, 0, 0, 775, 97, Genome.Randomize("male"), true);
            frother.runLife();

              Killer's team has # flags. I reworded it so that the number was prevailant in the statement making it "easier" to read.

              (# of flags that killer's team has) might have been better.

                I'd like to point out that the numbers Kyace gave are for TW. Both the amount of points from flag and the percent of your own bounty transferred to your kill points can be changed from the settings. The R (rating) however is always the same formula.
