if you're gonna fuck with pub, IE purepub make it limit the number of javs per team. or just go back to the way it was, the new weasel way to powerful and it sucks, new lanc is fag aswell. Go back to original setting or start putting limits on ships.

Ya i agree. Alot of the time all u have is sharks who mine randomly, and javs who tk in purepub. Out of say 14 players u have like 8 javs and whatnot. It is really bad. I dont know how you would go about "limiting" the javs tho. I mean is it 1st come 1st get or what? That reallyh isnt affective bc 1 bad jav is worst then 3 decent ones.

Also like he said, the new cloaker is way to powerful. I mean 1st it lost its real purpose which was being invisable bc now that drains nrg. Then you take x-radar away from the jav who was the only real fighter to take on the cloaker, which makes it stronger. Then they are small enough to fit into any whole into base and constantly annoy everyone. I dont konw if the ship is overpowered or not, either way let the jav have x-radar back.

The new lanc, always has been stupid. Its like the spider in a way and it really is annoying when u got laggy lancs thrusting all over and all they have to do is randomly hit u w/ a set of there bullets if ur low nrg.

Either way i think that in PureBasing Pub the cloaker shouldnt be allowed like the Levi. It really has no purpose in basing and isnt used to much in basing except to steal the flag with a few secounds left.

Bring back the big one with rep+rocket, I miss the days when entire freqs sent cheater calls because I owned them with that ship. If you fix the weasel, the jav problem has a better chance of sorting itself out. Javs won't be stuck guarding a roof from the little shits without the help of X-Radar (but I WOULD like to have X-Radar back on my jav).

Just played again after i posted earlier. Had 10 javs on team out of 13 players. Its really really bad and annoying. Then you got a jav who TKs the team and says "am i a newbie if i tried that?" and does it multiple times.

I liked the idea when we 1st ch anged the weasel to the little one bc it made it sort of useful in basing and whatnot, but now the only real ship who can defend it is Terr and its semi-ez to kill a terr w/ cloak and whatnot. Atleast give another ship x-radar all the time. A useful ship like jav/wb/spider/lanc even.

Limit on jav. Weasel changed or limited to 0 on pure pubs.

And I kinda like the new lanc. It's not as useless as it used to be. (Only thing lanc was good for was camping the main tube.)

Weasel taken out? Then let's just take out the Lanc too then. It wouldn't be pub without pub ships, as much as I detest the cloaker and 99.9% of the people who play it, it is as much apart of a pub as anything else.

There has to be some form of 'penalty' for when you tk. Or maybe even track the tks, and those with the least amount of tks would get the jav spot. I remember in Octabase (I think it was called that?) the highest score would always get priority over use of the Night Wasp, so maybe something similar could be possible for Javs and tks.

Who knows, I'm just rambling because it's not very often I have something to say.

King Baba sort of beat me to it, as I was read the first few posts in this thread, I came with some ideas about the too javs per freq problem.

Like King Baba said, the PubBot keeps a database for jav performance - what their stats are like and how many tks they do. Then the PubBot can decide whether this jav gets priority on the jav slots. Have a jav max limit per freq by using this data. This will help screen out bad javs, and encourage these bad javs to improve and TK less. Also the bad javs will be forced to try out other ships, like the spider.

Also if in .?go javs have it's stats used as well, like to use a jav in pub0, you must have a positive rec or good kill:death ratio. For that matter you could use twjd or base-elim data.

Another thing to consider is having Terrier limits, like 2-3 per freq. This way you don't have all these useless roof terriers helping the weasels get to flag room faster and harassing. And will encourage terriers to be equal on both teams. I have seen like 4-5 terriers per team, it gets silly since we need more spiders.

I agree we should look into ship limits per team and use data from other arenas to determine who gets what.

solution to all problems. Go back to how it was, old weasel setting with small size, javs have x and make lancs not have multifire with the super bullets they have now and they can keep x radar, and javs should have x radar.

The javelin SHOULD have automatic xradar, however, the weasel isn't unbalanced, since it's a good recon ship and can still make surprise attacks if you're good.
