Yesterday I got warned for saying the N word in public which I meant to say it in a private chat.Whats the point of having a grudge over racism? You can say it in the red lettering but not in the yellow or white? Isnt that racism? It's the same shit as white and black.Sure people get offended of it BUT IT'S A DAMN 2D GAME.Only a person that takes this game as his life would be offended with you say the N word in public over a monitor.What i'm trying to get to is I know you wont change it but whats the point of having a grudge over it? Sure the sysop of this game created this grudge but hey, I find it racial to say a racial word over a red letter but not white or yellow? There's no grudge. Racism is wrong and this is a 2d space ship game. That's reality. If it's normal for gaming servers to take on that kind of attitude then I'd say they have too many problems to care or genuinely are racist themselves.


The only reason we can't ban or warn for non local chats and private messages is because you can still do it in any SSC network zones so banning for it wouldn't solve anything and the SSC server is not ours so we can't setup a policy of giving out network bans for racism.

All chats aside from <chatname>(local) chats are available on all SSC zones, so you could be anywhere, and tw staff can't enforce tw rules if you're not in the zone. Your 'yellow' and 'white' chats are all in zone, so you're subject to zone rules. Which may or may not have occured to you. And so what, its only a warning, now you know to not make mistakes whilst typing, hmm?

In the event that you get banned for racism, may I recommend a typing tutor.

I don't see how you could classify this as a "grudge", or worse yet how you can divert the blame to staff and the rules for something you did. When you call someone the N word, you're putting the blame on people for finding it offensive while avoiding any of the blame for saying it.
