    The <EVENTREFEREE> of 2005

    Right, well.. This isn't a staff bashing thread as such. I just wanted to point out that the current string of <ER>s aren't really up to scratch. Not JUST that they don't host enough, but the actual events being hosted are poor... Either ?go golden gun, ?go zombies or ?go freezetag...something like that. I mean, all good events in their own right...but it's only fun when its not hosted 5 times a day.

    And with an <ER> like nycle, in my opinion one of the best <ER>s of this "generation" being promoted, alls we have left is Wark :P. I mean, hosting isn't hard (I have "hosted" using TWBots in a private zone, with like 10 people, heh), So
    perhaps, the <ER>s could be a tad more inventive!

      Golden Gun is being hosted too much?

      Edit: The reason why Golden Gun is hard to host manually is that it requires you to do 5 commands everytime the person with the golden gun dies. (two shipsets, two freqsets and an arena.) When 40 people play you end up spending 45 minutes spamming commands. This is the kind of quick repeative work that bots are great for.

        Edit: To kyace, those three were just examples of games i think are hosted too much. Golden gun is a great game (especially), but i think there should be more variation and maybe some more "newer" games should be hosted or <ER>s should be more inventive.
        Fair enough <ER>s don't get paid, blah blah, but if they're not willing to do it for free, they shouldn't.

            The greatest irony of this post is that Wark, whom you are idolizing in this post, created two of the three games listed (Freezetag and Goldengun) and is very well known for all his zombies variations. It is really just a compliment that his creations are so popular.

                Also, a point i forgot to add...since the takeover of shayde, from what i've seen, the weekend events are terrible.

                  Actually, I think Melo had these events planned ahead so Shayde didn't picked them.
