Hosting Competition for October

Trench Wars uppper staff is sponsoring its first Hosting Competition for the month of October, begining October 1st and ending the 30th. Event Ref's and Moderators will be competing for a prize of 100 dollars! The winner of this competition will be determined by the quantity and quality of the hosts. The winner will also be decided by polls done by upper staff and the public of Trench Wars! Every week we will have an update on the happenings of the competition. The prize for this event will be sent via paypal or mail.

Sigh, we could have seen this one coming.

Rewarding staff with money to increase the amount of hosted events is just the first step of the big scandal!

Hear me:

October will be a month with shitloads of events, hosted 24/7, all quality events. TW will become more and more popular and by the end of October one of those ER's will be rewarded with a prize of 100$.

After that succesful month, there will be a total change of mentality. People expect cool events now, 24/7, but staff won't host them because "it takes way too much effort and there's no reward anymore".

A few months will pass without anything happening, but by the beginning of March 2006, there will be a new "Host and get rewarded" contest. Again TW's population will be all excited and everyone loves to play TW again.

Then some retard will come up with this idea: "HEEEEEEEEEY, what if people could bid money on events they want to have hosted by us??????!!!!!!!!
SUPERIDEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!333####!!!"
People now start bidding on events and tw won't have any financial problems anymore.

After a while, staff will brainwash us all with announcements such as "BUY your oWN ARENA AND beCOME a mod there!"
Again people start to spend money and TW's financial status will change from "quite poor" to "Alright, we can go to McDonald's now".

The following months will change TW forever. One day, in the very near future, you won't be able to play in purepub "after you made a donation of 1$ / month". No drama, no drama coz there are plenty of other arena's with cool (sometimes hosted) games.

Then one day when you try to log on to tw it will say "please donate 2,50$ to enter this zone" et VOILA!
