would it be against TW policies if we had like a 1v1 dueling tournament and a 1v1 jav tournament for money? like a 100 man tourny each person pays like 5 dollars paypal or 10 or something and we have like a little cash prize of rthe winner. we could even do like...5 dollars per person for tournament and 5 dollars for server....a server money raising tournament. im sure u could get 100 ppl to play and that would raise money and would be super competitive and fun.

dont think many ppl will apply for your tourny coz only the best will pay to enter the tourny. why wast your $$ if u are sure if u cant beat ppl like ff or someone els.

ff is beatable....in javs...dunno about wbs...he prob pwn everyone but we could do like a thing where top 25 get money or something like that...and as for the best....im sure there are atleast 50 good ppl who would pay to eneter and have a chance at winning...and prob 50 more ppl trying for top 25

Maybe if there was an incentive, other than a place in the tourny, people would pay to play.
i.e. 100 people pay $10 to enter, the winner gets $500 and there is like a raffle to get the other $500. just an idea!

Why not make it 1$ to enter? If 200 people come winner get 100$ staff gets 100$ for that staff competition they are having.. and they could have it annually with that staff tournament heh (Assuming that 200 people will enter)

Good idea, but there's 2 reasons it can't be done.
1. It's illegal
2.

If something like this could be set up monthly (instead of a one-time thing) it would be an interesting on-going thing.

But instead of only 1 player getting a huge sum, and the rest leaving empty handed, what about making it easier for people to break even, and therefore encouraging them to play in future tournys?

Here's a set up where more people will end up leaving with money:

150 players pay $6 ($900 total: $528 for tourny pot, $372 for server fund)

After tourny is over:
#1 gets 35x entry ($210)
#2 gets 7x entry ($42)
#3-#10 get 2x entry ($12 each, $96 total)
#10-#30 player break even ($6, $120 total)
#30-#50 players get 0.5x entry ($3, $60 total)
#50-#150 leave empty handed

2^x = easy bracket where noone is cheated in # of rounds..

so, 1, 2 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048, 4096, or 8192 player tourny :P
