The reason we don't ban with racism in Private Messages is because the two players involved, you and hazuki could have said anything to each other and we (staff) have no ability to check the credibility of private messages. For all we know you could have said something different, or planned this event? Another reason we don't ban for this is the ?ignore command. However we will ban if players evade the ?ignore command by re-entering the zone etc and start harassing you furthermore. We can ban you for racism in TWD chat and other Public chats because there are staff witnesses. With this, I think you need to grow up and ignore players who piss you off.

Screen shots can easily be forged, same with logs.

It's hard to deal with private messages. We can't assume authority of the biller so network banning for racism is not an option. With that out of the question giving out local bans for racism in PM will probably intensify the problem (both inside the zone and for individuals) and do nothing to solve the problem.


Ignoring is the best and only viable option here. This system is pretty poor but very simple. These concepts are somewhat lost on a majority of the Trench Wars population, wich lead many of them to call us hypocrites for not banning for chat and PMs racism. I hope that makes sense for anyone who has never looked into the problem before because I can't be any more clearer. If it turns into harrassment though.. switching names and being a general annoyance then staff can try to mediate the dispute.

Edit: Local Chats like TWD, help ect.. are not public. To make that clearer, if I were in EG or any other SSC connected Zone and I joined ?chat=TWD I wouldn't be on the 'TW chat' TWD. Local bans would remove you from this chat so we can warn and ban for it.
