Name reset

I'm just wondering when the next name reset will be, if there will be one. So many good names are taken and not being used, due to player retirement etc.. You simply cant get a fancy name nowadays without adding .;,3467@%#^(. It would be nice if the names that havent been on for 100 days or so be deleted, so the other players had a chance to take them.

there is no single, definitive name or squad reset timeframe. a name resets according to the number of hours of ?usage as well as whether or not it is joined to a squad. i don't recall the exact number of hours required, but after a certain number, a name will never reset unless done so manually by a billing op.

Incorrect.

In the past, there have been scheduled resets of names, *UNKNOWN* squads, and squads that were owned by reset names. They haven't done one in around two or three years, however.

i'm not at all incorrect. any past "scheduled" resets were impromptu. there has never been, nor will there ever be, a routine resetting of names and/or squads. billing ops have run things a certain way for nearly a decade now. precedent dictates they continue to run things that certain way.

believe it or not i spent days on that. i scanned through dictionary.com in searching for some nice short names. the best one i could get was ward.
