I did a report on these symbols and found out alot about them, Hitler was dyslexic and inverted most things he saw... thus inverting the swastica into a figure of fear. Swastica was a sign of good luck. Now TW is being stupid and banning goood luck signs... Fuck Dat $#!+

I was going to post this bit that I wrote in response, that was actually quite compelling and informative. However, I have decided that most here arent ready for such an intellectual and mature response, and would most likely lash out at my statement as though it were a personal attack.

seriously, a swastica is no more offencive than a a teliban flag or an iraqee flag or any thing that represents a group of people in the past who's killed people. actually, i think it's more offence to have something like a teliban flag or some shit like that now, because that's current... not a long time ago when the nazi's killed the Jews and other people. hell, even a pot leaf. that, in some instances, may be offencive to some. like it says in the previous replies, the swastica is actually a good thing that got labeled bad because of the mistakes of communist leaders in the past. it's true that genocide's arn't funny, and people that have a nazi banner probably arn't wearing it because they believe in the flag and what it stands for, but if they want to have that as a banner, so be it. just like a penis banner... it doesn't neccisarily make them gay or penis-craving....

What does the phrase "anything related to it" mean to you, then? Yes, it's a loose description, but I'm sure it's made to be that way so that people can't circumvent it by claiming "it's not in the rules!" If you wanted a list of things considered racist, discriminatory, or otherwise, you'd end up with a list the size of most corporate law volumes (if you're not familiar with them, they're huge). Instead, it's left to the discretion of staff. Ultimately, it's their call--not yours. The idea is that each person acts responsibly and censors themselves. Just use a bit of common sense, that's all anyone's asking.
