Modifying Thread Titles

I don't like how forum mods modify thread titles to diminish the thread's appeal or appearance. These action, i.e. "merging", do more than consolidate space: they work agaisnt a person's intent and from my experience, they appear to be engineered as an attack upon the poster's integrity.
do any on YOU have similar experiences with forum staff?

mods very rarely alter a thread's title. i've only seen it done when a title contains offensive language or is some sort of violation of the rules.

as for thread merging, it's only common sense to put together three different threads of which all contain virtually the same subject matter.

i don't really see the problem here.

Three threads? What 3 thread? I speak of two. Regardless of the reason to merge, the title of the two-merged threads being arbitrarily decided and named by an obviously BIASED forum mod, remains suspect. For the post-merge thread title to suggest or infer less than desired title characteristics, apparently deliberately, is an act of CENSORSHIP (to discourage or deny interest) in the original posters intent.
