I'm mighty tired of people trying to hype things up that they know absolutely nothing about. You heard from someone who heard from someone who said he knew what happened? Yeah.. I've never heard that one before.

If you took one second and thought about what you just said, you would have realized just how stupid you sound. Pure_Luck, along with most of the staffers in this game play in TWD. It seems reasonable to assume that the staff, probably most of whom have invested many more years than yourself in TWD and TWL, would be very eager to stamp out cheating.

Catching a cheater is not as cut and dry as you think it is, we dont have the perfect tools for the job and we never will. Most of the staff is at least as frustrated as you are with cheaters, so stop pointing the finger at the staff. Start pointing at people like the cheaters and yourself who do nothing but discourage the people who are trying to do their job and make the game a better one.

it only wasnt one of those threads before cause we didnt know how staff was going to handle it. But I suppose you have a point, if no ones going to get banned when they have shields on in a game then im not going to be able to reason with anyone except the majority of the players, who have no say in the matter. Hrmm I wonder why the playerbase keeps dropping.

Weaver - there are some things that you can do with CE that are very hard to detect I know. No one really expects staff to catch 100% or even close to it, but when its shields, and at least 4 staffers see it..hell whats NOT cut and dry about that?

i personally have no idea why the ban was lifted..
as tricky as this situation is, i just dont see how anyone could have 'framed' leth.. here is my 2 cents, whether the upper staffers take this into consideration or not is out of my power:

leth got caught with shield on, but claiming he doesnt know about it. fine, we will do the logical way:
1) only smods/sysops can *prize someone
2) twbots/elfbots can also *prize someone, ER+ all have powers to control those bots
3) however, all *commands are logged into server log
4) no log was found at all about prizing shield
5) it is possible that a new cheat/hack is out there that allows you to hack through server.. however, refer to point 1, 2, and 3.. so even hacker1 hacked through server, got sysop power, and start prizing others stuff, those would still get logged. back to point 4.
6) CE is the hype right now. everyone including staffs are really concentrating on it. Making people forgetting that there were hacks/cheats long before CE was introduced. if my memory serves me right, staffs have banned people before for having shields, super, bursts, etc. Those cheats arent old. So just by searching leth's computer and not finding CE doesnt mean he doesnt have other cheats.
7) it doesnt take a rocket scientist to uninstall CE, delete registerys

i have yet to think of any reason/excuse/proof that shows leth is innocent.

He then checked the "run" command's history and didn't find anything suspicious like "regedit". Keep in mind this was within 10 minutes of the offense.

Also, there is more to what happened. He wasn't the only person with items he shouldn't have had. After the match was over a few players had super out of nowhere and didn't know it. There is probably more to it than that even.

All in all I'm pretty convinced he didn't cheat. I know me saying that doesn't really mean anything but I was one of the people who felt strongly that he did in the first thread and even stated how it was still possible through CE (although it was edited because I guess I went too far in explaining, oops).

I have no idea if he cheated or not, but the fact that PL 'checked' his PC is meaningless. Regedit can be started in other ways, including clicking on the command prompt and typing regedit in the command line.
Anyone familar with Windows can wipe his PC clean in less than a few minutes. Anyone familar with Windows can evade PL's 'checks'.

I would also say that if PL used remote access to do this, then the suspected cheater could sit there and see exactly what PL was looking for, and then be all that much wiser on how to evade such checks.

I have to admit, he did a lot of thinking into this, as well as other people that were given the actual circumstances, and if you were given all of the evidence for and against Lethargy, you'd see that something else was at stake here.
