Does anyone else miss Private arena Squad duels?

This is in response to Antega’s thread about remembering when we started Trench wars…

I don’t know if it’s just me, but it seems like the point of trench wars is quickly becoming a race to see how complicated it can be made. I miss the days when pubing, elim, and SD’s, were about it as far as your options.

If you want a private squad duel just ask the squad you want to duel with. I like the idea to have a private squad duel but people are to obsessed with winning twl so they only do twd...

Heh Nockm, the problem is, that players will never get enough of TW, and they cant realize how the changes made so far, has just made TW better, even though some people miss the old days and old squad duels in private arenas etc.

It's kinda annoying for example that when an ER hosts a game, players just ask for supers and such and never really respect how the ER's host, and how much they host.

We used to go around in pubs pissing off wolvencreed guys, and beating them in priv arena duels. It was fun.

I miss the old days... God, pub was fun in those times. People really cared if they had a good record, people competed with eighother like it was life or dead... Having the lil shield ment something back then. Now all I see in pub is people swearing, bitching and shouting random crap -_- Though some people still play by the way i dream of the old days....

I used to squad duel in private arena's. It was a special event and all your squadmates would be nervous like hell hehe. ^-^ It was unorganized at times though, that problem was solved when twd got introduced. But the private duels always had and always will have that extra special charm.

Not really, hosting the squad duels by yourself sucked because sometimes enemies wouldnt spec. Other times, trying to get staff to host it for you took time. And beyond that, actually arranging the squad duel sorta sucked cause sometimes you couldn't get everyone in the same arena within a decent amount of time, plus you never actually knew which squads kicked ass cause some people would lie about who won unless spectators were there.

Edit: oh and some people liked to run around the entire base and that got annoying. Had alotta fun with it and it got me hooked on squad duels and yea I sorta miss it, but if you compare it with the system set up today (twdd), twdd is much better.

I had almost forgot those times when me, Archer, PAM! and NuNNa played in priv freq in pubs and kicked the shit out of SSJRawman in privatearena duels. Meh that was sooo fun.

I remember how in one duel I ended up being 1v4 against them and winning them. Oh, how proud I was then! B)
