SSCX Down

I would've figured there would be a thread about this already, but I guess not. All of SSCX is down for good.

Event if you don't care at all about non-trench zones, this is still a crushing blow to the community as a whole.

Im sad for these zones as i myself played EG, in a top notch squad. They took me in even though i was new there and taught me to play. I think we as a zone should be helping them in any way we can. IE uploading there maps into our zone. This is a real chance for tw to get a massive population boost, whilst diversifying into other publics.

In short a PB player named prime called Savvis and reported the IP and ports that SSCX1 is running on. As a result those ports were closed and Xalimar is forced to shutdown for good.

will someone explain this to me in easy terms? from this it sounds like this Savvis doesn't want SSCX running on his server, so prime found out the port and had it shut down.. yeah i don't get it.

sucks though, i played in EG sometimes when TW was down or just for a change of pace.

Savvis is a company (large multinational)

EG is back up now (on the TW server i think) and some of the other SSCX zones have found a new home.

ROFL we can barely run TW without taking on the responsibilty of another zone as well. Wouldn't work at all.

Well PriitK is hosting EG now on the same server as TW and 17th Parallel. I don't know the details or anything. It will be interesting to see how this affects the lag (if it affects it at all).
