Strikeball Setting Change NEEDED

I do not know whom to address this to, but can someone change the setting in SB to stop people from entering the arena in anything other than a Jav or WB please?

Nothing more annoying than being in a game and some asswipe purposely enters in a wrong ship to only sit and spray bullets...even after everyone in the arena tells them to change ships! It could have been a mistake, but after everyone tells this person to change into a WB or Jav, they just sit there turning and shooting at everyone that spawns. Annoying as hell and I think purposely done.

I know that you cannot even enter pure base pub in a Levi...so it should not be a problem to not allow anything but a WB or Jav in SB!

I know that some of the fatter ships cause problems in regards to what we're used to with prox, but for simple pub play, couldn't the powers that be just change the settings of all the other ships to the same as wb/jav?

Here's the crazy thing, it requires 1 flag change in the settings to fix, team evening, and the whole issue of people entering in ships other than jav/bird.

Deal, so long as the private arena gets changed to freely chosen ships instead of wb vs jav soccer.
You know, that way there'd still be at least ONE arena I would be able to go left in.

People have got used to incorrect settings - that's a shame. Ball games have always typically been wb/jav type things - elegantly enforced by soccer settings.

If you set ?go AutoSB to soccer match settings, I doubt tooty-bot will be able to cope with that. i.e. someone's bot-work will be rendered useless - I don't really care about the bot anyway.

So instead of that, for the third time: copy over the ?go #strikeball settings to ?go strikeball. ?go strikeball is where we're meant to play ad-hoc, non-bot games. We really shouldn't be in ?go AutoSB when there isn't a bot, hence the 'Auto'.

I very rarely talk shit about staff, but I know a ton of people have been screaming about this for a long time. Stop trying to fix simple shit with a bot, just because you can work around a fucked up setting with a bot doesn't mean you should. You're not fucking Rube Goldberg. Just have every ship use the same settings that the WB and Jav have. That way, I can be in a lanc without disrupting the game. It's not like the bot enforces WBs on one team and Javs on the other.

It's a much better idea than warbirds on one freq and javs on another zemyla, but the it seems TW's totally strikeball vets seem to hate the fuck out of anything that isn't nasty ass faggot soccer match for no good reason at all.

PS- bird vs jav is the dumbest shit since christmas. go fucking play powerball in the powerball zone, not in strikeball. motherFUCK not being able to go left ever. I'm going to fucking tell you this right now wadi, the ugly ass jav graphic makes me puke more than you make me want to. Believe it or not, I'm not the only person who feels this way and I'll bet is pretty much why dameon was trying to use a twbot to make sure people still got the choice to be able to use the cool ship over the disgusting one (vice versa for the weirdos, I'm looking at you animol, you crazy ass jav loving brazilian) on any freq they choose while limiting the fucked up other 6 ships.

Definitely the obvious solution would be to just make the other 6 exactly the same. A definite way to break the game even more, would be to make sure that me and my teammate animol would always be on opposite teams due to your homoerotic fascination with the soccer setting.

Perhaps a new game should just be made allowing the ships to all have the same functions as the ships in TW Pubs then?

Speedball which became Strikeball after the Mr. Mike debacle was set up to be a soccer like game with the bombs, bullets, bricks and such and nothing more. It started and was tested in PB originally....the original SB arena/map is still up on the PB server as well.

If people are looking to change the setting and make it so any ship can play, then maybe a new game all together should be made by those who want the change as well as for those who do not like the game as Strikeball.
