Beats the hell outta me. Since there are normally 300-500 trenchers on at one time, I would thing that the total players (not names, since some people own up to like 40 names) would be somwhere around 4000 to 6000 players. But thats only an estimate.

Some useless statistics:

825 different usernames have been playing in at least one priv basing game from Nov 11-Dec 17. -From myth's post in thread "basing statistics"

There are 15k-17k unique usernames logged in per score reset (2 weeks) -From subspace.edome.net

There were 229 playernames logged in from 18 Dec 02 to 1 Jan 03 with the letter q in them.

160 of these playernames had W+L less than 300.

annux had 52 names and 19 squads.

Hmm....what would be more helpful is the number of people signed up for TWD. Those would be people who are supposedly regular players (although not all) and not supposed to have double names. Anyone know the answer to this?

nice. that still doesnt tell us how many active players (not names) there are right now, which is what I assume Malladrin was asking in the first place.
