I'm an MVP!

Can someone explain to me why staying with the same ship is apparently the only requirement to get MVP in pub 0?

My roommate and I were discussing this the other night because we were both switching (him from wb to jav and me from weasel to shark) in order to support the mission (eg: switch to shark for entering base, jav for defending, etc.. you guys know the deal). These are strategically sound moves and this positively affected the outcome of the round for our team.

Sooo.. why is MVP based soley on this and why are we NOT given MVP if we change ships to support the mission?


I don't expect the bots to be geniuses but I'm not understanding why staying with a ship is considered such a good thing. The ability to adapt and overcome obstacles is stressed in the real military should it not be good here too?


Oh and by the way, the copy and past below was from when my dog ran outside and I had to chase him down the street so I actually was just floating in space getting sniped that whole round-hell yeah most valuable player for dying a shit lot!

Yeah, it is kind of confusing. I would like it if they did it like at the end of prodem when they put the best fighter, worst dodger, etc., and they would add things like most teks and most flag claims.

But seriously.. this is the friend who introduced me to Subspace back in high school but never really played himself. So now years later I'm living with him and since I never do anything but play Subspace he has started getting into it and hm.. if I continue this I might just sound like one of the geekiest losers ever... does it help my case that I have a girlfriend?

I like the suggestions above, ranking stuff like best shot or longest survivor (ac-10 award!). I'm not a bot writer but I imagine it would be a fairly simple script for some of those. Any other suggestions?

There soon will be a MVP system in public arena's like there is at ?go base (it is based on allot of things).

Actually, the whole system of gameplay will be changing, first freq to hold the flag for 10 minutes will be the winning team. Scores of those who have won and been on the team from start of game will have their scores shown by arena messages plus 1 MVP.

I'm looking forward to see this system come in Pub hope you too!

Well in pub you would be able to choose whatever you want, however spider is the most usefull ship (ofcourse shark/terr too) and you will most likely become MVP with it in public.

Hell yeah. Shark is the way to go..

but it must be the spinners, ground fx and big ass spoiler on my ship that scares people away from picking me as shark in ?go base. I think they are just jealous.
