Names expire as their usage runs out, if a person has 3k usage, it's gonna take many years to expire, if Mackieman or someone else on SSC staff decides to reset them.
Squads dont expire, however when the squadowners name expires, the squadowner becomes "*UNKNOWN*", and you can get it from ? site (Cant remember which right now), if you know the pw and such for it.

Names with somewhere around 1500 hours of usage never reset. *UNKNOWN* names can only be had when it gets reset; which has only happened twice since I've been playing.Comment

yea, but still... reset the names for god sakes. Names that haven't been seen in ages should be reseted fast, even if they do have over 1500 hours...Comment

You're whining to the wrong people. Nobody on these boards has any control over *UNKNOWN* or name resets. And yes, *UNKNOWN* has been fully reset. Probably Halo just hand-picked the squads he wanted from it or gave them to his friends.Comment
