Aliases aren't that hard to deal with, especially with the new TWD bot system, however if someone did manage to get around this system, then they would be twdbanned just the same as if they got caught doublesquadding.

they recruit a bunch of pubbers
leave them alone, its good for tw that someone is bringing pubbers to twd games, it will make twd more active and generate more squads/good players on near future.
Also this discussion is old and No limit is the answer for a good twd league.

Just because the discussion is old doesn't mean it is invalid. Couple problem with creating a player "salary" is that people shouldn't be forced to play on specific teams (as veteren players might be forced to have to play on a newbie squad because their length of time playing is long but they are not as good as the average person whose played that length of time.) Even with all the fancy stuff we have for TWD, Aquatiq is right that people will just crawl to aliases to avoid it. Some sort of cap similar to a salary cap would be interesting, but people want money, not unusable points.May my ambition be, more love of Christ to thee.

First being that since 90% of the squad just started playing TWD after they joined GaintTiger means that they dont know "TWD unspoken rules", such as:
1. if you say you can dd you have to be able to stay the whole match
2. if your laggy you dont play a dd
Large rosters allow them to easily bring someone else in to be subbed, if one player randomly leaves/lags out, which I would think would happen a lot.
At the same time large rosters allow lots of players to play. Four players play first round, four different players play second. Since winning obviously isnt their objective they can give new players a chance to play basically whenever they are online.
Then my last point is that the players on gianttiger will get better... Not a lot better, but better enough to realize they need a better squad then GiantTiger. They will leave, and join a slightly better squad and hopefully be more active now that they know what they're doing.
last i checked, but in 4v4 you only get 1 sub...... why do you need 120 people to sub once person?(RoboHelp)>This message has been sent by Left_Eye:

See this is where I see TWD staffs true job is, here we have a new generation of players trying to get into TWD, but obviously have no idea what they are doing, so they have a 120 person squad where maybe 20-30 of them dd a day tops. TWD staff should talk to their captains and ask them if it is ok to get some of them to make another squad with half of those players, then we have two squads at the same level of play who can play each other, and instead of 1/4 of the players playing 1/2 of them get to play. It is so logical to me, why isn't anyone doing this... right now.Rabble Rabble Rabble

Why pick on these guys? if they wanted to have 200+ people on the squad, who cares really?..now if this squad had 120 of the best people in tw on it than yea give them shit, but this squad just likes to play twd games and have no impact on the squads that actually will make TWL, so why bitch about them?
leave them be...B)"I'm a fucking walking paradox, no I'm not

To save TWD we need a shoe, 3 toothpicks, 11 scrabble pieces, 4 hungry wolves and 40 bleeding virgins.
For this masterplan I ofcourse need approval from upperstaff first, which they'll probably not grant me cause it seems like TW dieing is what they're aiming for.TWLM-J Champion Season 8
TWLM-D Champion Season 9 <_<
TWLM-B Champion Season 10 :pirate2:

So they have upwards of 120 this week. Half of them are inclined to leave by the same time next week, I've seen it before. Though, the larger the squad, the better the chance they have of maintaining some continuity. If they can convince people to join them, albeit for a short time, that's a whole lot better than those who create TWD squads and don't get anywhere with them.
Sooner or later the captains will find that the group they have assembled are not going to all work well together as the smaller, close knit squads do. Arguments will break out, the chemistry won't be there. Regardless of individual skill level, they will soon discover that tif their teamwork isn't there, they can't hope to win, which in turn makes the captain responsible for doing more than just recruitment.
It's not so much as, "TWL has a limit, so should TWD." TWD is the selection process for TWL, so while squads need to qualify for it, so should players should prove themselves eligible on the lesser scale.

One can argue that because of the large roster, fewer TWD matches happen because so many players are tied into that one squad. I disagree, how many times has it happened that you have 3 people online and you need a 4th, or you need one more person for that BD? It obviously depends on your squad, but Im sure it rarely if ever happens for Gianttiger. As a result of this, they can almost constantly play TWD. If you don't believe me, check out their squad history, they've played upwards of 14 games in multiple days. In addition, how many matches do you think they've forfeited because they only had 4 online and one accidently logged off?
One can argue that because of the large roster, certain players don't get any playing time at all, or it makes the players more of a number on the squad rather than a teammate. I agree, but in the same token I also say that when people don't enjoy what they're doing, they'll either change something so that they can continue and enjoy, or they'll quit. Whether or not GiantTiger helps people to enjoy TWD or causes people to dislike it and either quit completely or join another squad is unknown by you or me at this point. At the very least the people that are on GiantTiger joined it for some specific reason and I think it would be very unfair for those in charge of TWD to stop them from doing so because it doesn't give them an extreme advantage over their competitors. How do you like it when the government interferes with your personal life when it's completely unnecessary and you're not breaking any laws? I mean, who's to say that alot of those guys don't know eachother, maybe alot of them are good friends and wouldn't be a part of TWD at all if they had to be on some other squad?
If a player completely quits TWD because they didn't get enough playing time in their TWD squad I can only believe that if they weren't on GiantTiger and joined some other squad and had some negative experience, they would have quit playing TWD altogether there as well. Besides, it's equally as likely that because of less playing time players will leave the squad and want to join another TWD squad so that they can play TWD more. At the very least, those players that have never even heard of TWD just had their first taste.
Look at the current state of TWD squads, most of them are averaging about a 1-3 month life span before dissolving. I believe at the very least gianttiger is more likely to last longer because of the larger roster, and if nothing else is gained out of this, it shows other TWD squads that even if your squad doesn't win every match it doesn't mean you should jump ship.
I don't personally know the squad leader of the squad but I've been told he knows what he's doing, and I think it's great that he's taking the initiative of getting pub players involved in TWD. I would have really appreciated learning about private squad matches sooner.
In conclusion, I think it's better to educate and give people hand's on experience with TWD so that they can decide whether they enjoy it and want to play more, or so that they dont play it and go back to playing pub. It's better to atleast make them aware of it so that they can decide than they never realize there even is a TWD thinking this game only has publics and elim and quit the game prematurely. I know the same can be done with smaller limited rosters, but it isn't being done with smaller rosters. When rosters are limited then it's obvious that the best players you can get is your best bet but when the rosters aren't limited you can recruit friends or new people and let them play in a few matches here or there while they're getting better. In addition, if roster limits are placed, then squads could also look at it from the point of view that they need to recruit the 50 best players possible before all the other squads can get the players. Im all for giving more freedom to the players so that they can do as they wish, provided it's not a hinderance on others and I believe that the added benefits of a larger TWD player base counterweighs the negative aspects of this large roster. I know there are downsides to allowing the larger roster but the real question is, do they outweigh the benefits?
P.S. Im not convinced either way, obviously leaning in one direction but I plan to give this more thought and encourage debate.1:Best> lol why is everyone mad that roiwerk got a big dick stickin out his underwear, it's really attractive :P
