there have been a chat about that before..but staff says that if they would have it 24/7,b/elim and base would lose much of their population,and so would tourny if it would be on 24/7,people would get bored on it like on elims..but sure i like tourny

Tournys during the weekend have worked out thus far. It's an attraction for TWL warmups and such, and I like how it's been working. Again, as was said, people have a small attention span and a 24/7 tourny wouldn't help that in any way.

Hosts have to do more rare ?go tournament during peak hours in the week I think. Yah, there's the whole selection process argument, but they're always fun, and in the past they've been more than a hit.

I asked the same question recently, they just don't want us to get bored. It's like christmas, you are waiting for it to come.

During the week I find subspace far from entertaining. If tourny was available during the week I might actually play more.
There is no other event that can compare with tourny.

We could use the same argument to make subspace only available from fri-sun and since we ain't doing that also just get that damn tourny going on 24/7.

And I am not looking forward to anything, my goal is to enjoy every day I live.

Im with you 100%, that they should host go ufc or tournaments more often and the above,tw seem to recruit new staffers/promote but i dont see anyone hosting, only stargazer

Yes Paulo, they should host Javtourny and Tournament more often but maybe if Tourny would be going 24/7 people would get bored of it. Still I wouldnt mind if staff tries rollin' it 24/7.

I agree with nasir ... i think tourny is the only reason i stay on for more then 5 minutes during the times i log on... unless we have a twld game or something.

who cares about losign popularity from baseelim, it died already
if you're worried about bandwidth .. disable baseelim bot. there is ?go javs which is more popular then baseelim.

run tourny 24/7...... and yes let the new ZH's host usefull things like ufc, tournament, ... shit where you shoot and have a meaning to win not stuff like zombies or glider or race.... or whatever other shit is being hosted.

tourny's arent as much fun when its like 5 teams of 2... and it is always teams of 2

if ppl wouldnt only vote for 2v2, running tourny during the week would be great

1 vs 1 is far more boring than a 2 vs 2 combat. With 2 vs 2 there is a lot more interaction with people you dont know.
After a short period of time duel became more about ranking than duelling good people, I don't consider Tourny to be about ranking.

But whatever, it's not my job to make this zone interesting for a big audience during the week, I said what I wanted to say. I can spend my times in all different kind of ways.

Do you also know how much strain running tournybot for long periods puts on 2 differnt servers?

The main tournybot is run off the same server trenchwars is hosted and the strain it also puts on tw's serv and tw.org for recording and calculating sql for all the stats etc is tremendous...

As if twd doesnt put enough strain on it already, having it run 24/7 would steadily increase lag on server and potentially crash the main bothub that runs tourny and twd...
