I died back in 2005 i think. The pubbots i suppose "could" be changed to replace the lost functionality.

This game isn't half of what it used to be. It's dying off and this is (or rather, 2 years ago, was) a symptom of SubSpace's slowly approaching but inevitable demise. I remember a time when if someone posted an "I'm retiring" thread we cynically laughed it off. Ya, right, nobody actually quits. Now I can think of many players I never see anymore. Almost my entire little SubSpace social network doesn't play this game. And trust me, I was a popular lil bastage in this game. For reals.

Ok.. No I wasn't, but still, I can think of a lot of people.

It's sad too because I had a helluva time with SubSpace while it lasted. Years and years of enjoyment. Good people, good times. *sniffle* But seriously, I've been playing a tiny bit more than I used to (which was effective nothing) lately and there is not a single thing still going for this game. People are MIA, staff is really slack compared to what it used to be, the whole community is really dropping off. I mean if any staffers are still around from back when the ZH program started. I think thats when staff peaked. If you remember what it was like then and what it is like now. It's like night and day. I'm not saying there are bad people, or unmotivated people, or anything. There are just way less, and we don't have the critical mass of leadership and capable programers or anything anymore.

On some of your points I agree. I am sad at the state of the game these days. I think it is still FAR from dead... but slowly dying, no doubt about it. It could be saved... somehow... I hope.

I still laugh it off! :P I refuse to believe it's possible to quit subspace, especially considering the amount of times I have tried and failed. I have to say though ... population is probably gonna keep dropping but I can't imagine it dying. We'll reach a point where the only people left are the ones that would never quit, even if they were 76 and dead.

SS will properly turn into a community where new players can't get into a game cause it's simply a bunch of vets that are like unbeatable and the gap between the vets and the new players is soooooooo big it's not even worth trying. I mean ... even now there's a huge gap between the best and the worst, thankfully we still have peope all across the middle too, but those are gonna leave eventually

Some people have played for like 7 years and still suck :P Thats what makes this game great, playing more doesnt make necessery make u a better player.
