Some people have played for like 7 years and still suck :P Thats what makes this game great, playing more doesnt make necessery make u a better player.

Yeah I know that, they stay for the community though right? Slowly the community is leaving, once there is no great community, those 7 year sucky players will leave, sure some of them may stay, but eventually ss will spiral into the series of events mentioned above. Or at least that's my theory and I'm sticking to it! :P

If you ever get the chance to work as an engineer for any state government or federal government, you might realize that they employ certain protective measures to assure that the thousands of employees they provide internet service for don't go around looking at porn, disturbing images, images in general, yahoo email, wikipedia, news websites, virtually anything on the internet ...

I still laugh it off! :P I refuse to believe it's possible to quit subspace, especially considering the amount of times I have tried and failed. I have to say though ... population is probably gonna keep dropping but I can't imagine it dying. We'll reach a point where the only people left are the ones that would never quit, even if they were 76 and dead.

SS will properly turn into a community where new players can't get into a game cause it's simply a bunch of vets that are like unbeatable and the gap between the vets and the new players is soooooooo big it's not even worth trying. I mean ... even now there's a huge gap between the best and the worst, thankfully we still have peope all across the middle too, but those are gonna leave eventually

People don't get better over time. Epinephrine used to "train" people a little so there are some things you can learn and therefor improve but even that was never a matter of playing for years and becoming better and better.

I really remember a day, like I said, when I couldn't list a single person who had quit and not come back. Now there are piles. I was actually surprised that people argued with me that this game is dying because having been there for it's prime years, being inactive for a year or two, then coming back, it is painfully obvious that it is. I was expecting people to reply "Yea, we know Spider, it's dead. Thanks captain obvious."

KJW, YoMama!!!, DoCk>, Arilou lalee'lay, PriitK, Dantax, Crown of Thorns, Erathia, Epinephrine (he might reply to this post because he logs in sometimes and reads the forums but he isn't, and I don't think ever will be, an active player anymore). Those are just the "big names" that I can think of off the top of my head. There are probably lots and lots more that I just never really talked to at all. That leaves who? Pure_Luck and Rudy.. That's about it.

nobody knows and there will probably never be a replacement because Priit K. has to give someone and a server direct access to the SSC biller to get the scores.

It;s WoW that took many players but the community is not shrinking that greatly....the older players leave, but new players are coming in daily, its just that people who have played a few years are failing to see this as they have no connection with these new players. But yeah...i wish the oldies would come back.
